Fees and Costs? If I hire a lawyer, what will it cost me and how will I pay? What if you went to your doctor and paid only if you recovered from your illness? Well, that's exactly how I am paid. I represent rich and poor the same, and everyone pays the same way...you only pay a percentage of what is recovered, and if nothing is recovered, then you pay nothing. I cannot disclose my fees on a website, but they are reasonable and typical of what other lawyers charge. In some cases, I charge less than what other lawyers would charge. As always, I will explain all fees to you before you hire me and I will put my fees in writing. In addition to lawyer fees based on a percentage, you will be charged for the cost of case expenses (there is no profit taken on expenses). Case expenses include things like court fees, expert fees, court reporter fees, doctor fees and the like. I will itemize all costs with the date of service, the service provided and the charge. There is no ''up charge'' or profit...you pay what I pay. I pay these expenses as they are incurred. At the conclusion of your case, I deduct these expenses from your recovery. If there is no recovery, then you pay nothing. I will never ask you to pay a penny out of your pocket and I will never charge you interest on these expenses. I provide many services at no charge. If you need courier or delivery services, then we provide them to you at no charge. If you need a fax machine, then I will provide it at no charge. I do not charge for phone calls and my toll free number is available to you. Upon resolution of your case, I will provide you a written statement explaining where every penny went, and how the money to you was calculated. I will provide you copies of all checks. In 24 years of law practice, I have handled millions of dollars and accounted for every penny. |
