Auto Accidents

According to the Kentucky Department of Public Safety, the most frequent causes of car crashes are, in order: driver inattention or distraction, failure to yield right of way; illegal or unsafe speed; and following too closely. In fatal crashes, the single most frequently cited cause was speed. Alcohol is also a frequent contributing cause in car crashes.

Semi-Truck Injury

The danger of semi-trucks on public thoroughfares has long been an area of concern for our court systems. In 1996, nearly 393,000 large trucks were involved in traffic crashes in the United States. While semi-trucks represent only three percent (3%) of all registered motor vehicles in this country, they are responsible for twenty-two percent (22%) of all deaths in multiple vehicle collisions.

Pedestrian Injury

In 1999, 4,695 pedestrians were killed in traffic collisions in the United States.

If you, or members of your family, are injured in a car accident, you have the right to be fairly compensated for your losses. This compensation includes payment of your medical bills, loss of income or wages, and payment to others for work you cannot do. In addition, you can seek damages for pain and suffering.
